1946 – How we started
Wilson Estate Agents was founded in 1946 by Leslie Wilson, a determined entrepreneur who established the business in Bolsover with a clear focus on honest and reliable service. From the very beginning, trust and reputation were everything. That commitment quickly earned the loyalty of the local community.
The business was later guided by his son Tony and then by his grandson Tim. Each generation brought new perspective, energy and expertise, strengthening the company while protecting its reputation. Together, they built a respected estate agency grounded in professionalism, integrity and a genuine commitment to the people and communities it serves.
Present day
Wilson Estate Agents was founded in Bolsover in 1946 by Leslie Wilson and is now led by Jack Wilson, the fourth generation of the family to run the business. The agency has been recognised in the top 5% of estate agents nationwide by the Best Estate Agents Guide, and holds 2021 - 2026 Gold/Exceptional/Excellent awards from the same body.
Wilson currently manages a property management portfolio of over 350 properties and operates from one branch covering Bolsover, Chesterfield and the surrounding North Derbyshire villages.
Under Jack's leadership, Wilson has evolved into a dynamic and forward-thinking agency, combining deep local expertise with smarter systems, stronger marketing and a more strategic approach to property.

Can you handle viewings and negotiations?
Yes. Wilson manages all buyer enquiries, conducts viewings, qualifies buyers and negotiates offers on your behalf throughout the sale.
What happens once I accept an offer?
Once you accept an offer, Wilson manages the sale through to completion - liaising with solicitors, mortgage advisers and all parties in the chain, and keeping you updated at every stage.
